What is Vera?
Vera is a conceptual project embedding AI powered financial advice into Vero Banks mobile app. Vera provides access to personalized, conversational financial guidance based on a clients actual account data to empower them and close the financial knowledge gap.
Opportunity
47% of Americans cannot answer basic personal finance questions. 85% of Americans seek out financial advise when making a major decision - with 47% trusting AI for their answers. All of this is done outside the bank.
Currently, the majority of people have to look at external resources such as Rocket money, AI tool such as Claude, or pay steep fees for professional financial advice. Vera by Vero Bank embeds a personalized AI tool and dashboard into a clients bank account - aiding clients in making important financial decisions based on their very own data.
Personalized insights
Create a tool that flexes and adapts to the clients needs. Not all clients need nor want the same thing when it comes to financial growth. It’s common to hear advice to save an “emergency fund.” But how does a personal actually do that? Vera makes recommendations based on a clients income, spending habits, and other data to make informed recommendations.
Trust
A number one priority when it comes to financial products. Users need to know and feel that Vera is secure, and accurate
Choice
Vera isn’t automatically enabled. A client has to setup Vera - establishing trust, and customizing Vera to their specific needs.
Context
Generic financial advice is everywhere. With Vera, advice is grounded in client data.
Research
Testing Vera on real users would provide insight on perceived trust levels, other features to include, and overall user comprehension
Iterate
Based on user testing, I would iterate on Vera and the insights dashboard to improve the overall experience.
